Shirts and blouses must have collars. Logos, lettering, advertising or insignias are not appropriate unless it is the Beckman Coulter corporate approved insignia/lettering. All apparel sold through the Inspire Promotions website is acceptable. The Beckman Coulter or Beckman Coulter logo is appropriate and should be worn on apparel daily.
Ties are acceptable for business meetings and office environments, though certainly not mandatory. Do not wear ties into production or manufacturing areas.
Baseball type hats or hard hats may be worn when appropriate. The only approved logo for hats is "Beckman Coulter”.
It is against company policy, safety rules/regulations and common sense to wear jewelry while performing your job in a factory, manufacturing or production environment. This includes, but is not limited to, watches, earrings, rings, necklaces.
Industrial quality slacks such as Dockers, Wear Guard or Dickies are acceptable. Blue jeans or jeans of any color are not acceptable. THIS INCLUDES TRAINING CLASSES. All slacks sold through the Inspire Promotions website are acceptable and encouraged.
Hair length and style must be consistent with the professional image we want to convey and the environment we work in. Customer requirements will prevail at all times. Facial hair is not allowed at many facilities in the food and pharmaceutical industry. You are required to meet customer requirements.
Safety shoes/steel-toed shoes are mandatory. Beckman Coulter will continue to provide an annual allowance for safety shoes.
Our service, you, and your peers set us apart from all of our competitors. Your image is as important as your technical and communication skills. You may be the only representation of Beckman Coulter that the customer sees for months. A professional appearance is important at all times.
